Free · public pages only
Free audit for your Freshdesk help center.
We read your public articles like any visitor, one page per second, and list what’s broken. Most help centers take a few minutes; the free audit reads up to 400 articles.
- No signup
- No API key
- Report link never indexed
Scope
What the audit checks, and what needs the private scan
Free audit · public pages
Broken links and images
Every link and image on your public articles, including links between your own articles. Sites that time out or block checkers are listed apart, not counted as broken.
Articles not updated in 12 months
From the “Modified on” date your portal shows on each article.
Old years in the text
Titles and body text that still mention a year two or more years back (copyright lines and version numbers are skipped).
Near-duplicate titles
“Reset password” next to “Resetting your password”: pairs that split search results.
Missing translations
Articles that exist in one portal language but not in the others.
Private scan · Freshdesk API, read-only
Drafts and unpublished articles
Only the API can see them, including links that point at them.
Every translation’s version
Which translations are behind their primary article, not only which are missing.
Links to drafts and deleted articles
Checked against the full article list from the API, including articles visitors can’t see.
Views and feedback
Needed for ranking issues by how many people see them.
Fixes
Find & replace with preview and undo, and translation drafts. The audit only reads.

Three steps
How the free audit works
- 01
Paste your help-center URL
Your Freshdesk portal (yourcompany.freshdesk.com) or your custom help-center domain.
- 02
We read your public articles
Like any visitor: categories, folders and articles your customers can see, politely, one page per second, up to 400 articles.
- 03
Get the report
A score, counts by issue type and the top 20 issues with article titles and URLs, at an unlisted link you can forward.
A broken link checker that knows Freshdesk
A generic crawler sees a 200 when a dead article redirects to your portal’s home page, and a link to an archived article looks fine to it. The free audit follows every redirect and reports the final status; the private scan, being built now, also checks each link against your full article list from the API, drafts included.

Questions before you paste a URL
Do I need a Freshdesk login or API key?
No. The audit reads only public pages, like any visitor. The private scan with an API key adds drafts, unpublished articles and every translation.
Does it work with a custom help-center domain?
Yes. Paste support.yourcompany.com or yourcompany.freshdesk.com/support/solutions; both work.
Who can see my report?
Only people with the link. Report pages are never indexed by search engines, and reports are deleted after 90 days.
